Well had a debadged zo6 that was trying to impress me...
He drops back 3-4 cars and proceeds to attept a flyby... Passenger of z06 has a WTF?! Look as he passes my door and suddenly I'm staying right there with them... I begin toying with him letting out and getting back into it while he is in it all the way. Got a thumbs up afterwards

You need better videos than that. You made a jump before the arm drop too. And the end of the vid makes it look like the C5 let off as well. Not doubting the outcome, but the vids suck.

it's at 600awhp on 93 octane now with 32.5psi, gotta love head/cams/shorty improvements

I did jump, I realized it and let off the gas, waited on him to come around me and reeled him back in. That AMS car is a turd...supposedly dyno'd 500awhp but runs 12's at 115. I saw the kid out at the track making 12 second passes and he wasn't happy with it because I ran 10.41 @ 135 with essentially the same mods but Buschur brand and stock ecu/mas vs his AEM EMS setup. He started adjusting the base fuel pressure without a gauge or logging the runs, he's an idiot and his daddy bought him the AMS shorty/head/cams

The C5 has 450rwhp, I have 600awhp...end of story.

the C5 z06 pulled up beside me, saw the camera was on and just took off without any warning. I didn't know we were going to race, we were just shooting some rolling footage. So he get out there several cars before I went WOT but as you can see it wasn't any problem to reel him in.

~ 15-20k over the span of exactly 2 years come Jan 09

I disagree took one out awhile ago on lower boost.. 24psi was interesting though first time did a 100mph rolling start

a stock zr1 at the track did 131mph bone stock on street tires, that would be a hand full for a 35/37r class car :)

U have to remember though that was with a damn good driver... I've seen less powered cars beat higher powered cars bc of driver mod...

ZR1's are just stupid, they are tough to handle for cars that I would consider several classes above a GT35/42R Evo all things considered. I know everyone always cares about Q mile times but the ZR1 is soo much more than a straight line car.

I'd love to see a stock suspension/tire evo upgraded to the same 600bhp as the Zr1 vs a stock suspension/tire zr1 on a road course. To be fair a swap of the drivers would be interesting also.

That would be interesting. On a fast course, the Evo may not have the necessary gearing/aerodynamics and less than ideal weight distribution.

On a tight course, would the turbo lag be too much coming out of the turns?

The ZR1 could possibly win just by virtue of it's brakes that are more than adequate for all it's speed.

For reference, a ZR-1 would turn laps most likely in the 1:36 range at Laguna Seca on stock tires. Check out what the unlimited Evos run in time attack....
